Chair Person
Professor Fiona Wood, FRACS AM, is a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon specialising in the field of burn care, trauma and scar reconstruction. She is the Director of the Burns Service of WA and Winthrop Professor, Burn Injury Research Unit, School of Surgery, UWA. As Chairperson of the McComb Foundation, her research is focused on treatment of burns victims and scarless healing.
Fiona is mother of 6 children involved in a wide range of sports including Trampoline and is enthusiastic about building this sport at all levels. She has over the past decade provided medical support for the National Trampoline squad, been Gymnastics WA Team Manager and Head of delegation. Fiona was also the Technical Director for Trampoline in Western Australia. Fiona continues to be a regular volunteer at club, state and national competitions.
Fiona received the honour of being named Australian of the Year in 2005.
